Reverse Phone White Pages - The Key to Easy Reverse Phone Number Lookups

How do the reverse phone white pages work? The process is a simple, and requires just a few minutes time. To start your look up you just need to enter the area code and phone number in the search box. Hit the enter key, and you will learn within a few seconds if information is available on your searched phone number.

If the information is available, you will then need to pay a small fee. The nice part about using these reverse white pages is that you are only charged after you know for sure the information you need is available in their database. And, chances are very good that the information will be available because these directories contain close to 99% of all phone numbers. This includes cell phone, unlisted, pager, toll free and business phone numbers.

The companies who advertise free reverse phone white pages are deceiving. These companies are only free because they only have publicly listed phone numbers in the database. This means that unless the number you are searching belongs to a public landline phone carrier; you will be out of luck. With so many millions of people using cell phones and unlisted numbers these days, it is rare to calls that are found in a public, free directory. It is always an option to start your search with the free directories. If you don't find what you need, you can then move on to the reliable reverse lookup phone number directories that will charge a small fee for access to their expansive databases and second-to-none customer service.

This is my #1 Recommended Reverse Phone White Pages Directory. It offers outstanding quality and utility and should satisfy all of your needs. Click Here to get started.

The Perfect Revenge For Prank Phone Callers

Your cell phone rings. You answer: "Hello, how are you doin'?"

The other line speaks up: "Is this Dana Marshall?"

You say, "Oh yes, that's me. May I know your name, please? And how may I help you."

Other line: "No need to know my name. I just really wanted to make fun of you...."

I'd bet a thousand bucks that this ranks among the top problems of cell phone users these days. What is this problem called? It is called PRANK CALLERS.

All right, getting rid of a prank caller can be pretty easy - at least, for the moment. All you have to do when a prank caller contacts you is to simply hit on the "End Call" button. Or, if the fellow is really insistent, then you just switch off your cell phone. That may sound pretty simple, but is solving the problem of prank callers really just as easy as that? When can a prank caller really pose problems for the cell phone user? And, what is the most effective way to get this over with?

When Prank Callers Can Be A Real Problem

Before proceeding to this talk on prank callers, here is one piece of advice I think I ought to give to those who commonly encounter this problem: since it's called a prank call, just treat it just as you would any prank (otherwise known as practical jokes) - with laughter.

Now, here's the question: what if this happens practically every minute of everyday, and it's hindering you from getting about your duties or it's simply taking out the fun out of your life? Well, if that is so, here are your options:

  • Report it to the authorities. This may require you to submit papers, go to court hearings, and help out in the investigation. The glitch: aside from the fact that it may be costly it's also pretty much a hassle, especially if your days are always full.

  • Ask your friends, family, or co-workers if they know anyone who uses the number of that prank caller. The question: so, what if your legitimate contacts don't know? Do you go to a radio station and ask listeners who own that number?

  • Make use of reverse phone scan or phone lookup technologies. This is something that requires you to just prop in front of a computer with Internet connection, log on to a reverse phone scan site, and look up the mobile phone number in question.

The Best Deal: Enroll In A Reverse Phone Scan Membership Site

When you log on to websites such as the Reverse Phone Detective or the Reverse Records Lookup sites, you are enabled to do the following:

  • Point out who the prank caller is

  • Check where the prank caller is located

  • Get to know if he is actually just a friend who, indeed, "just want to have fun"

It's just easy. All you have to do is sign up for an account with this site, and you get access to all of these features. It works not just for those who encounter prank callers, but for those people who have other uses for cell phone numbers as well.

Jason D May owns PhoneReverser.com and strongly recommends you check out Reverse Phone Detective if you want an excellent service allowing you to lookup unlisted phone numbers. Check it out --> Read the Reverse Phone Detective review.

The process of sending a text message online can be done through the social networking site Facebook. People are always using their cell phones in order to surf their Facebook pages. Given that so many phone companies already have this option the amount of access to the online texting option within North America has been expanded. In order to make sure people know enough about this technology and the promise it holds, we need to keep people like Mark Warner in Congress because he was one of the early founders of Nextel who really understands where the technology of the mobile phone is going.

It is important that you understand the word limits involved with the texting process and the rules that have been set out by your particular phone company. The process of sending a text message online is very similar to sending a general e-mail, once you have your message typed up and on the correct server you can then hit the send button.

Are you one of those that jump on trends like sending online messages early or are you one of those that usually wait a bit longer until you try new things. When it comes to sending txt messages online from your computer there really is not any reason why you should wait any longer before you try it. What is Email Lookup?

Email is still rising in popularity and has become the standard way of communicating with the people. It's an easy way to share information like document files in the intra office business communication. With this trend, it's not a surprise that lookup of email is gaining popularity. Most people go for email address search than researching for an email address. They think that this is a time consuming process.

Email lookup is not the same as email search and it's a time saving process. Using the email search engines and social websites, people search for email address. It may fetch you good results in some cases whereas in some cases it bends you a lot. You may be irritated in finding out your best friends email ID. Nowadays people maintain privacy to their mail address and don't like them to be listed in search sites. In such cases researching through email lookup is a helping hand.

The email provider maintains several databases to store enormous information about millions of people. When searching for an email ID, the search engines searches for these available information in the databases. This is a heavy burden for search sites. The reverse email lookup can actually be incredibly fast and easy where in a single database all the information is maintained. Instead of spending hours in searching for your beloved friends and sweet hearts you can gather their email address in just matter of moments. While you may result in a hit or miss in search engines or social sites, the email lookup will give good results for you. Thus email address search have been made easier through email lookup.

Letterman Trashes Lindsay Lohan

It's important for great writers (and hack writers like me) to know what is going on in the world. To do that I sometimes check the popularity of keywords on the Internet.

The first thing you learn when you are looking at the popularity of keywords is this: Internet users are in two major groups, teenagers and sex-fiend morons.

Some experts say that these are not subgroups but one group, teenage-sex-fiend morons.

I disagree with that. How would I separate my grandkids from the sex-fiend morons?

Kids love music. I saw a kid the other day lying on the grass at our town park. He was sound asleep but his radio was blurting out what kids in our town call music. He had a little sign around his neck. It was hanging from a gold chain and was beautifully engraved in mahogany. The sign said, "I Love Lindsay Lohan."

The son was out but at this time of the year the ground is pretty cold. There was a large slab of cardboard by the swimming pool. I dragged it to where he was snoozing, and with a little shifting and grunting, I got him on the cardboard. To my surprise he said, "Thanks Mister!" Then he went back to sleep.

I decided that I would check on this Lindsay Lohan. After all, she was near the top of the keyword list. She is even above Pamela Anderson, a perpetual keyword list-hog.

At this point I would like to digress and write about Pamela. However, a writer must take control of himself, so I'll resist that urge.

I had never heard of Lindsay Lohan. She probably passed right by me as I snoozed in front of the television set. I decided to do what I always do when I need extremely important knowledge. I placed the name in the search box provided by my friend Mr. Google®. Up popped some sites!

I went to the Official Site. I wanted first-hand information.

The official site is: http://www.llrocks.com. There was a lovely shot of Lindsay Lohan. Her blue eyes and auburn hair would put any teenage boy into a twigajam (if not that, her cleavage). A twigajam is what teenage boys get into when they are very excited. You can add "twigajam" to your dictionary too.

At the official site I learned that Lindsay Lohan was not a goddess that popped out of a cherry blossom. She was born like everybody else. In fact she was born in New York City to showbiz parents just in time to get on the Dave Letterman Show.

Her mother was a Radio City Music Hall Rockette.

Her father is what you call a financier.

She has siblings too, so she is definably human.

Like many of our divas, she was a model, a cute little redhead. She acted too, a childhood prodigy. That's about what it says at her official site.

I learned at this point in her biography that I must have seen her many times on television.

She starred in Jell-O® ads with Bill Crosby, Incorporated.

That's when she hit the big time. She played "GARBAGE" on the Dave Letterman Show. (The site hints that is why within weeks, Letterman left NBC for CBS. Maybe Lindsay's dad had some financial interest in NBC. You never know!)

Anyway, Lindsay was so good at playing D-train garbage that she soon had many acting roles.

In September, 2002, Lindsay fulfilled her dream to be a singer.

That's what she does now.

And we have to give David Letterman some credit!

Is Microsoft's Kinect Strategy a Bit of a Hit Or a Bit of a Miss?

The Video games market is currently expanding into many different segments thanks to the Nintendo Wii, no longer is gaming targeted towards the 13-40 Male consumer. There is the 60+ elderly market who love to get active by playing Wii bowling or the 30-50 range that are losing weight by using Nintendo Peripheral's such as Wii fit. Both Sony and Microsoft must applaud Nintendo for expanding a previously narrow market.

With Nintendo monopolising these market segments Microsoft and Sony have been quick to react. Microsoft is introducing a camera that can track your body movements without the need to hold anything in your hand whilst Sony are going down a similar path to Nintendo by offering motion controllers. So what's the deal with 'Kinect'? Who is it targeted at? And how on earth will they provide competition to the extremely popular Nintendo Wii? This article will aim to answer these questions.

There is no doubt that Microsoft are after the casual market. This newly developed market has massive potential and is worth millions to Microsoft. Microsoft revealed the Kinect brand at E3 this year and for the first time ever it was broadcast in Times Square for everyone to see. Furthermore, they commissioned a show by the exquisite Cirque du Soleil to show of Kinect which was also broadcasted on MTV. These communication channels are not commonly used in the video game industry to show of new hardware. By broadcasting their E3 press conference live via time square it indicates that they want Kinect to entice the casual gamer into the Xbox experience.

However, is this right group to target? The marketing manager of Xbox recently said "I think we know that hardcore gamers will be the first to go out and buy it, as they are with any product". This statement underlines their intentions to push Kinect onto the hardcore gamer but the thing is none of the software for Kinect will appeal to them. Casual games such as Kinect sports or Kinectimals will never a system seller for the hardcore gamer. In fact until Microsoft release a Kinect game that the hardcore can get excited about then the chances are they will hold of the purchase. Microsoft built its brand on offering a hardcore experience and it might be unwise to neglect them.

The pricing of Kinect has become a hot talking point in recent weeks. Although not confirmed it has been widely regarded that the price of Kinect will be around $150. Compared to the Nintendo Wii ($180) the value of Kinect could seem very poor. Why would the consumer who currently own a Nintendo Wii depart with a significant amount of money to purchase a peripheral that is essential a very similar product? Microsoft needs to create a value proposition that warrants the $150 price tag and controller free gaming could be the answer. The unique selling point of Kinect is the fact that they offer a way of interacting with a game without the need to hold anything in your hands, this is something Nintendo Wii and playstation move don't offer. Microsoft must therefore highlight this advantage when advertising this piece of hardware.

In fact by looking at Microsoft's marketing strategy you could see why they are charging $150. They have to penetrate the market and get the casual market to take notice of this new product. Microsoft have already spent a huge amount on marketing Kinect through the Cirque du Soleil show and by displaying Kinect in various Macy stores. Make no doubt about it they paid through the nose to do so. Marketing of Kinect is set to increase as they creep towards the release date and therefore costs will increase. Microsoft will aim to recuperate this cost and therefore will set the price as high as $150 however it is doubtful that they will make a profit on every unit sold as according to 'Develop' it is costing Microsoft $150 to manufacture the Kinect camera.

The casual market is here to stay and its going to grow and grow. Microsoft are entering a market in which they are determined to gain significant market share, they are in this for the long term. Kinect is just the beginning for Microsoft. It is expected to be bundled with the Xbox slim when it launches in order for Microsoft to get Kinect into homes across the world. Microsoft will initially want to focus on market share rather than profit so expect Kinect's price to decrease and decrease quickly. Kinect or maybe an upgraded version will be bundled into the next generation of Xbox console because this will force the consumer to use it.

Consumers are more likely to see the value of Kinect and therefore use it if it becomes bundled in with the console rather than just on its own. Microsoft have a massive opportunity with Kinect and if sales are slow in the first year don't expect Microsoft to drop Kinect. It is here to stay and if they do it right it could become a huge success just like the Nintendo Wii. Microsoft's core customer is the hardcore gamer and they should not ignore them. Nintendo have currently realised their mistake of neglecting their hardcore consumer and rectified the issue by announcing numerous hardcore friendly titles. If Microsoft can maintain that balance then they could satisfy the hardcore whilst becoming a big player in the lucrative casual market.

That Which is Not

At a time when 700 people are applying for one janitorial position; or where over a thousand people show up to apply for 35 fire fighter positions; where people are losing their jobs, homes, retirements and minds; or where used-to-be billionaires are now millionaires, to say that times are tough or that we are in a recession (a global recession), will be an understatement.

So, we can lose it all in a moment. This is why we can not trust in riches, which the Bible rightfully calls, 'uncertain.

In fact, there's no better time to glorify God than in tough times. When people can see you go through difficult times, while demonstrating the abounding and unfathomable peace of God and His unspeakable joy. This is why Apostle Paul said that he had learned in whatever state or condition he found himself to be content; and because he was content, he could do all things through Christ, whether full or hungry, rich or poor (Philippians 4:11-13).

While it sounds good to be recession-proof, it is not biblical. By the way, you don't have to be recession-proof to be who God called you to be or do what He told you to do. So, for a preacher to talk about being recession proof is hogwash! It's just another scam to rid people of whatever money they have left. I mean, even the preacher talking about being recession proof, I believe, has been affected by the recession, especially as it relates to giving, since some of his members or viewers have lost their jobs, and as such don't have tithes, offerings or donations to give to his ministry. This is why he wants the little money you have left, to make up for lost donations.

Speaking of giving...the other day, I was flipping through the channels and came upon Daystar Television Network's 2009 Spring Share-a-Thon (indeed, it is a share-a-ton!), and heard Joni and Marcus Lamb (the founders of Daystar), along with Mike Murdock, asking the viewers to pledge $58 for 12 months. Why $58? So that the people may receive, wait for this, the 58 blessings of the Bible! Huh? Are you kidding me?

Now you tell me, how does giving $58 dollars for 12 months give someone the 58 blessings of the Bible? As if the American dollar is the currency of heaven! Is that how to interpret the Bible? $58 for 58 blessings!

Yet, you had people calling in to pledge $58 for 12 months. If only these people could just stop and ask, "Why American dollars and not some other currency, especially those weak currencies of the world, like the Indian Rupee, the Nigerian Naira, the Ghanaian Cedi, the Russian Rouble, or even the Japanese Yen, etc.?" Since they claim to broadcast around the world. I mean, I get the 58 part, because I want the 58 blessings, but why dollars? Why can't I send you 58 Naira, 58 Rupees, 58 Roubles, etc.?

Perhaps like me, you are wondering if there are 58 blessings in the Bible. Let me say, upfront, "Negative!" There is no such thing as 58 blessings in the Bible. That was a scam someone (Mike Murdock) concocted to rid you of your money. How do I know? I researched it. Like you, I wanted to know.

Since there is no such thing as 58 blessings in the Bible, out of curiosity I decided to do some more digging to find out what the 58 blessings are as touted by Mike Murdock and his disciples. I found an e-book, titled, The Blessing Bible, authored by, you guessed who, Mike Murdock! I didn't buy the e-book, because I had better things to do with my money, than make a spiritual con-artist richer. But I found this website,

Needless to say, most of the so-called verses had nothing to do with blessings. And some of those that did could not be applied to us, because God was not talking to us. Rather, most of the verses are scriptures taken totally out of context just to come up with a money-making scheme. The verses ranged from the ridiculous to the misused. To give you an idea, here are some of the ridiculous scriptures for the 58 blessings of the Bible:

I was glad when they said to me,

"Let us go into the house of the LORD." - Psalm 122:1

As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him;

He is excellent in power,

In judgment and abundant justice;

He does not oppress. - Job 37:23

Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;

Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - Psalm 36:5

To further prove that this $58 for 58 blessings thing is all a scam taken from the same playbook of prosperity preachers, I wrote in another article about Paula White's TBN telethon appearance, a few years ago. In the article titled:

For instance, just recently, Paula White at a TBN telethon, read Psalm 66:12, to ask the viewers to call in to pledge $66.12 for the next 12 months to help support TBN, so that they can get the blessing of Psalm 66:12! My goodness! How do these people come up with these scams? Ah! How are they able to sleep at night? Don't they have a conscience?

By the way, just in case you are wondering what Psalm 66:12 says...it says

You have caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; but You brought us out to rich fulfillment

I don't know if you noticed the similarity between the amounts TBN asked its viewers to pledge for 12 months, few years ago, and how much Daystar, is asking its viewers to pledge this year -- $66.12 for 12 months and $58 for 12 months respectively. If you noticed, it's somewhere in the $50-$70 range; something that seems affordable to a lot of people. But when spread out in a year, it's in the $700-$800 range. Pretty slick, won't you say!

But while all these so-called preachers are searching the scriptures looking for scriptures to manipulate, wondering what their next scam would be, they ignore such scriptures where Jesus said, "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal..." (Matthew 6:19) Why? Because both the earth and the treasures you store in it will not only corrupt but pass away. Or where Apostle Paul admonished us saying, "If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth." (Colossians 3:1-2) Why? Because the things that are seen are temporal, but the things that are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

Anyway, while I may not be able to convince these false preachers to desist from their wicked and evil ways, at least I should be able to warn you of their exploits. But more importantly to remind you not to set your eyes on that which is not.

Remember...

For riches [are] not forever, nor does a crown [endure] to all generations.

-- Proverbs 27:24

As he came from his mother's womb, naked shall he return, to go as he came; and he shall take nothing from his labor which he may carry away in his hand. And this also [is] a severe evil-- Just exactly as he came, so shall he go. And what profit has he who has labored for the wind? -- Ecclesiastes 5:15-16

As the Psalmist says:

It is better to trust in the LORD

Than to put confidence in man.

It is better to trust in the LORD

Than to put confidence in princes. -- Psalm 118:8-9

Why not put all your trust in Him today?

Selling anointing oils, with a list of the scriptures with the 58 blessings of the Bible. Actually, the website has an anointing oil called, "HIS 58 Covenant Blessings Anointing Oil!" Go figure!Does It Take Money to Spread the Gospel? I noted how Ms. White misused scriptures to raise money. Here is an excerpt from the article:

And even if there were 58 blessings in the Bible, do you think that you could buy God's blessings simply by just sending $58?

In fact, according to news reports, financial markets around the world lost a whopping $50 trillion, in 2008 alone! $50 trillion in one year! That is, trillion with a 'T!' That is money that just vanished, evaporated literally from people's investments, retirements, etc.! Just gone, perhaps, with the wind!

"This is by far the most serious crisis to hit the world economy since the Great Depression. While this crisis originated in the USA and some European countries, by now no region or country is insulated. I am afraid things may get worse before they get better," Asian Development Bank (ADB) president, Haruhiko Kuroda said.

But such confounding news about the global economy, while staggering, only brings to mind, the age-old truth of God's Word, especially concerning riches or wealth.

God, in His Word, through the wisest and richest man that ever lived, King Solomon, said:

Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away like an eagle toward heaven. -- Proverbs 23:5

When Solomon, in the verse above, referred to riches as 'that which is not,' he was referring to riches as 'that which barely exists;' or 'that which is fleeting;' or 'that which soon dissipates' or 'that which is not dependable;' or 'that which is here today, but gone tomorrow;' or 'that which literally disappears in thin air,' etc. So if riches barely exist, why be surprised when they vanish? Riches are like illusions -- now you see, now you don't.

To us Christians, the grim global economic news is not surprising to us, at least it should not be. Yes, it may not be like anything many of us have seen or experienced before in our lifetime. Yet, the Bible always told us about money, and what our attitudes should be towards it.

Therefore, more than anything, the current economic crisis, while on one hand, confirms what we've always known about the Bible, as the true and immutable Word of God, on another hand, it should remind us and convince us why we ought not to trust in uncertain riches. And it's very easy to trust in riches, even when we think or say that we are trusting in the Lord.

We all have the tendency to trust in riches, especially when we think that it is safe. Whatever safe means. But when you think about it there are no safe riches. And certainly no safe investments! Really! Not CDs, not bonds, not savings, not gold, or even stuffing money under the mattress! That's why Apostle Paul told Timothy:

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

-- 1 Timothy 6:17

Yet, we all go to bed at night thinking that our money is where we think it is. But is it really? For all we know, it could be in someone else's personal bank account, while we think it is working and earning interest for us. After all, all we go by is some monthly paper or electronic statement. But we all know how that goes, thanks to Bernie Madoff. He was sending his clients falsified statements, while he was diverting their money elsewhere. By the way, just in case you don't know, Bernie Madoff is an investment manager who pleaded guilty of swindling his clients of over $50 billion.

Now, the question that begs asking is this, "If the Bible says that wealth is 'that which is not,' or 'uncertain,' why then are so many so-called preachers spending an inordinate amount of time preaching about prosperity? Why are so many preachers encouraging their members to keep grabbing more and more of that which is not?" "Why are we Christians so fixated on it?" Why, like Solomon put it in another proverb, are we laboring for the wind? (Ecclesiastes 5:16)

So, another thing this whole economic crisis has done is burst the prosperity bubble - pop! It let the air out of all the naming and claiming, blabbing and grabbing mess going on in many churches today.

But then, just when you wonder, "What are they going to preach now?" Like the great spiritual scam artists these preachers are they always come up with something, some slogan or catchy phrase to keep their victims captive.

My wife told me that, while flipping channels, she heard a preacher on TV talking about being recession proof. Yes, that's the new buzz phrase. Well, maybe not a new phrase, since this is not the first recession. But it's becoming popular again. To which I ask, "How can anybody be recession proof?" You'd have to be dead to be recession proof! Even if you've not lost money in the Market or lost your job, some way, somehow you have been affected directly or indirectly by the recession.

Just because you haven't lost your job, retirement or investment doesn't make you recession-proof. It just means that it hasn't affected you yet. If the recession lingers, chances are, it will affect you. And if it doesn't affect you, that doesn't mean that you have some special favor with God or that determines your high level of spirituality. Because whether you have or don't have you are still His. God does not only get glory when we have, but especially when we don't have.

Is Spyware Threat Real?

Do you know that emails you get from unknown senders are treated as SPAM after running them through a SPAM control filter?

This filter can be in real time, this means it scans every email before forwarding it to the email client. The others are offline SPAM filters which are built-in the email clients like MS Outlook, Eudora or any other reliable program.

Have you ever thought why so many emails have started to drop in your mailbox from peoples you never met before? More and more people started pushing emails containing information about their products. This boomed up so much that the service providers like Hotmail, Yahoo , AOL, Google etc are still struggling to get rid or reduce the amount of SPAM entering a user inbox.

The same pattern is followed by the hackers. They introduce some kind of malicious code into an email and will push it across the internet to several emailing hosts which would later spread the same mail to almost every user's mailbox. Such emails are presented in an attractive way so that the user opens it on his/her computer and the malicious code triggers a reaction. Basically, you would send your personal/private information to the hacker.

Another way of hacking into inbox is via Spyware, which is done by installing a program on the user's machine without its own wish and starting to show up advertisements.

SpyNoMore protects your computer either at home or at work. The software does not take more than a minutes to install and has a very user friendly interface where you can configure it to record browsed websites. You can protect confidential content from any forms of adware, spyware, Trojans or key loggers.

SpyNoMore also protects your data from dangerous key loggers which can read your key hits and store them in a text file which would later be sent over to the hacker. Trojans are another form of data eaters which would act more like a key logger but at the same times can be programmed to trigger its effects at a schedule interval.

Trojans are very hard to detect and are the most dangerous threats to the users. No one can avoid to be hit by attackers, but with SpyNoMore you are protected as it would detect and block all attempts made to sneak to your computer.
SpyNoMore guards your identity and brings back your computer original performance. It represents a smart, intelligent and powerful spyware protection solution.

Ted Peterson writes for CoreDownload, a shareware archive where you can find utilities like SpyNoMore that will help you fight spyware.

Different Types of International Email Scams

Sadly, email scams are quite common and falling victim to this fraud is a lot easier than most people think. Many of us like to believe that we are "smart" enough to detect false schemes, but sometimes it can be difficult to see through them. Therefore, the best way to protect yourself is to learn about the popular cons so you can detect them and either ignore or report them.

The following are diverse types of international emailing scams you need to watch out for...

Business opportunity - This type of deception usually promises significant income in exchange for non-time-consuming tasks and minimal money. In many cases this is just a disguised pyramid scheme.

Work-from-home - The opportunity to earn money without ever having to leave your home. Common jobs offered include craft assembly and stuffing envelopes. All you need to do is pay a small fee for the kit you need and you're all set. Reality - the item paid for either never arrives or the work you do will never meet the standards of the "employer".

Get something for free - A free item is offered and all one needs to do to claim it is sign up for a paid membership. Once they become a member they find that they don't qualify for the gratis gift until they can get others to join.

Credit repair scamming - This particular fraud targets people with bad credit ratings. They are promised that for an upfront fee their poor credit record will be wiped clean.

Other schemes also include, but are not limited to: chain letters, investment opportunities, guaranteed credit or loans on easy terms, etc.

Essentially, if you receive an e-mail from someone you don't know and it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Therefore, the best thing you can do is ignore these messages and delete them from your inbox without giving them a second thought. However, if you are receiving a lot of these scams, especially the same one over and over again, you may feel inclined to do more than hit the delete button and block the sender.

If you ever get this inclination, you should try finding out who is behind these vile schemes by looking up their electronic address in a free email search directory. With this investigation you may be able to find out who they are and other facts of interest.
